New England Steamer
Maple syrup infused steamed milk topped with homemade whipped cream made with maple syrup and a touch of cinnamon, it’s a perfect way to bring families together on chilly nights by the fire!
Ingredients
For the steamer:
- 1 ½ cup whole milk steamed
- 1 tbsp real maple syrup
For the homemade whipped cream:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp real maple syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat 1½ cups of whole milk on the stovetop until gently simmering. Remove from heat and add 1 tbsp of real maple syrup to the milk, stirring until incorporated. Transfer to a heat safe mug.
- In a large bowl with a hand mixer or milk frother, combine heavy whipping cream, maple syrup and cinnamon and beat until thickened.
- Top steamer with a generous dollop of whipped cream, marshmallows and a dusting of cinnamon.
