Eggnog Churro Waffles

These waffles are soft on the inside, lightly crisped on the outside, and coated in a sweet cinnamon-sugar dust that gives them a delightful crunch. It’s a unique holiday twist on two classic desserts, now in one you can easily enjoy at home!

Eggnog Churro Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour all purpose
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • neutral oil for frying i.e. vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  • Combine dry ingredients of flour, baking powder & cinnamon in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients of eggnog, melted butter, eggs and whisk to combine.
  • Add wet ingredients into dry ingredient bowl and gently fold to combine — don’t over mix! Leave some lumps and bumps.
  • Make your waffles in a waffle iron, removing before they are crispy.
  • Fry 30 seconds on each side in a neutral oil, allowing excess oil to drip off on a paper towel lined plate.5. Add cinnamon + sugar to a plate and coat each fried waffle in the mixture.
