Blueberry Plum Applesauce

A home for any blueberries or stone fruit in your fridge on their last leg, because apples shouldn't have to be alone when sauced!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb apples cored & chopped, peeled if desired
  • 1-2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 4-6 plums peeled, cored & chopped
  • tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp real maple syrup or honey
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Peel, core and chop the apples and plums. Add to a large pot with water, vanilla, maple syrup & lemon juice.
  • Heat over medium high heat until lightly bubbling, reduce heat to medium low and cook until apples can be crushed by a fork, about 20 mins.
  • Use an immersion blender to blend sauce until smooth. If needed, add more water 1 tsp at a time to reach desired consistency. Seal in an airtight container and refrigerate or can.
