Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These biscuits are easy to make at home and taste just like the beloved restaurant version. With a cheesy, garlicky flavor and a fluffy, soft texture, the best part is that you can pile on as much cheddar as you like!

Ingredients

For the biscuits:

  • 2 cups flour all purpose
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1⅓ cup yellow cheddar cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parselt + more for garnish
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • cup butter melted

Topping:

  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley minced
  • zest of ½ a lemon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. In a large bowl, add your dry ingredients together with flour, baking powder & salt. Add chopped parsley and grated cheese. In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, egg, garlic and melted butter, whisk to combine.
  • Add wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until no dry streaks are seen. This will be a very sticky batter.Using an ice cream scoop, transfer biscuit dough onto lined baking sheet, forming large lumped biscuits. Bake for 12-16 minutes until golden browned.
  • Combine topping ingredients of melted butter, garlic, parsley and lemon zest and brush onto biscuits hot out of the oven.
