White Chocolate Strawberry Scones
The addition of milky white chocolate chips makes it a delicious twist on strawberries and cream. The soft, buttery dough is filled with juicy strawberries, while the white chocolate chips add a smooth, creamy richness that perfectly complements the fruit.

I use fresh strawberries for this recipe, but freeze dried would work as well! Frozen strawberries will release excess moisture, so I would avoid using those!

Valentine’s Day inspired this recipe, but these Strawberry Scones are the perfect treat to enjoy year round!

White Chocolate Strawberry Scones
Plump, juicy strawberries folded into a buttery, flaky dough, topped with a strawberry glaze!
Ingredients
- 2½ cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 12 tbsp cold butter grated
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp heavy cream for topping
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar for topping
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp heavy cream
- 3-4 mashed strawberries
Instructions
- Mix together your dry ingredients of 2½ cups flour, 1 tbsp baking powder and 2 tbsp granulated sugar.
- With a cheese grater, grate your cold butter and mix into dry ingredients with your hands until it reaches a mealy texture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 egg, ¾ cup buttermilk and 1 tsp vanilla. Add to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in strawberries and 1 cup of whtie chocolate chips. Spread into a circle onto a baking sheet and cut into serving sizes, the same way you would a pizza.
- Using a pastry brush, coat each scone in heavy cream and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden browned.
- Mash the 3-4 fresh strawberries and add 1 tsp heavy cream and 2 tbsp powdered sugar to make icing. Add more cream 1 tsp at a time to thin the icing if needed to reach desired consistency. Drizzle over scones, slice and serve.

I made these and shared with my coworkers, and one told me they were the best scones she ever had…..even better than some expensive ones she had during her travels. Your scone recipes are easy and come out so beautifully! Thank you!
