Almond Joy Banana Bread
My Almond Joy-inspired banana bread is a delicious twist on a classic, made with real ingredients like creamy Skyr yogurt, melted butter, and pure maple syrup for the fluffiest, most indulgent texture!

I love to keep the ingredients simple with my banana bread, and I’ve found the key ingredient is yogurt! I use Painterland Sisters Skyr yogurt, it’s my favorite to eat on it’s own but it’s also 6% milkfat, perfect for baking!

Once it’s baked, you can enjoy as is or take it one step further and top with a crust that is a true homage to the beloved candy bar, topped with coconut, chocolate, and almonds, all bound together with sweetened condensed milk for a rich, finish!

Bake the crust at 475F for an additional 4-6 more minutes . Allow it cool so the crust can form and enjoy!

Almond Joy Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 3 overripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup real maple syrup
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 5 tbsp melted butter
- 1¾ cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- ¾ cup slivered almonds
For the topping (optional):
- ¾ cup coconut flakes
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ¾ cup slivered almonds
- 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Mash 3 bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 5 tbsp melted butter, ⅓ cup maple syrup & ½ cup yogurt. Whisk to combine.
- Add 1¾ cups of flour & 1 tsp baking soda to the mixture. Stir until flour streaks are almost gone, then gently fold in chocolate chips, coconut shreds and almonds.
- Place in a lined loaf pan & bake at 350 F for 50-60 mins, until a toothpick inserted comes out with crumbs instead of wet batter.
- While the loaf is baking, add the topping ingredients to a small bowl and stir to combine. Top with loaf once it is baked and return to oven at 475 for 4-6 minutes, broiling for an extra minute at the end if you'd like it slightly crispy.
- Allow to completely cool for the crust to form, slice and enjoy!
