Apricot Bourbon Smash
My drink of the summer! I love bourbon in the fall but it deserves its time to shine in the summer — fresh muddled apricots, fresh mint & like balanced with chilled bourbon.

Apricot Bourbon Smash
Fresh muddled apricots, fresh mint & like balanced with chilled bourbon
Ingredients
- 3-5 fresh apricots pitted & peeled
- 3 oz bourbon of choice
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz agave
- ½ oz elderflower liqueur
- sparkling lime seltzer or club soda
- fresh mint sprigs for garnish
- lime wedges for garnish
For the rim:
- zest of 1 lime
- coarse sugar
Instructions
- Add the zest of 1 lime & few tbsp of sugar to a plate. Lightly dip the rim of your glasses in agave and roll onto the lime sugar. Keep in freezer until serving.
- Muddle fresh apricots and add to a shaker bottle with bourbon, lime juice, agave, and elderflower liqueur + ice.
- Shake until very cold, strain into your glasses filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with mint leaves and lime wedge.
