Blueberry Plum Applesauce
I honestly created this because I was looking for a home for some blueberries and plums in my fridge that were on their last leg. I’m also that person that has to finish their breakfast with something sweet, so this sweet fruit combination seemed like the perfect recipe home!

Blueberry Plum Applesauce
A home for any blueberries or stone fruit in your fridge on their last leg, because apples shouldn't have to be alone when sauced!
Ingredients
- 1 lb apples cored & chopped, peeled if desired
- 1-2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
- 4-6 plums peeled, cored & chopped
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp real maple syrup or honey
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Peel, core and chop the apples and plums. Add to a large pot with water, vanilla, maple syrup & lemon juice.
- Heat over medium high heat until lightly bubbling, reduce heat to medium low and cook until apples can be crushed by a fork, about 20 mins.
- Use an immersion blender to blend sauce until smooth. If needed, add more water 1 tsp at a time to reach desired consistency. Seal in an airtight container and refrigerate or can.
